Alpacas are raised for their fiber and ultimately it is the way that their fleece is used that gives these animals value. At Gore Mountain Farm our Gift Shop has a eclectic collection of alpaca products both foreign and domestic that demonstrates the wide array of applications for alpaca fiber.
Of course there is yarn imported from Peru, but also some from our own alpacas or those of neighboring farms. Alpaca wool is among the most luxurious fibers in the world, comparable to cashmere in softness, but warmer, stronger and more durable. Our store features numerous items from sock to hats and everything in between made from alpaca. If we don't have what you are looking for, we'll do our best to help you find it and we ship all over the country and also overseas. Our store is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM, currently we don't accept credit cards but we will take your check and of course cash is always welcome.

Alpaca yarn is a gift from heaven for knitters! At GMF we feature imported Peruvian yarn in a variety of colors as well as hand painted specialty yarn dyed right here in the U.S.A. We also have domestic yarn from our own alpacas or those from the farms of our friends.
